TYRE SERVICES

Wheel Balancing

Keeping your wheel assembly in balance will help ensure a comfortable ride and prolong the life of your tires and suspension. All our newly fitted tyres are balanced before fitting wheels back onto your car.

Wheel Alignment

Computerized alignment equipment is used to measure all alignment angles on today's cars. We offer a FREE wheel alignment check and only charge you if an adjustment is needed.

Valves

As standard practice, all new tyres come with new valves. Valves help to maintain tyre pressure and permit air to be added or removed. Also whenever a tyre is removed from the rim (puncture repair etc) it is again recommended that a new valve be fitted.

Puncture Repair

There are British Standard guidelines that we have to adhere to. If the puncture is in the shoulder or side wall of the tyre it cannot be repaired but if this is the case our tyre technician will show you.

TYRE TREAD DEPTH CHART

Where can I find the EU tyre label?

It has long been known that a decrease in tyre tread depth can lead to the deterioration of a tyre's performance during cornering, and straight-line braking in the wet. A tyre is unable to deal with the same volume of water on the road at lower tread depths, which means that the tyre is unable to transmit traction and braking forces to the road as effectively.

EU TYRE LABEL EXPLAINED

The EU tyre label provides important information about the safety and environmental aspects of a tyre. Similar to the energy label found on kitchen appliances, the EU tyre label makes it easy to compare tyres in terms of wet grip, fuel efficiency and noise. Explore the links below to find out more.

Fuel Efficiency: A measure of the tyre’s rolling resistance, which has an impact on your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. Rated from A (highest rating) to G (lowest rating)

Wet Grip: A measure of the tyre’s braking ability on wet roads. Wet grip is rated from A (highest rating) to F (lowest rating).

Noise: A measure of the external noise generated by the tyre, in decibels. The black sound waves indicate the noise class of the tyre, from 1 (quiet) to 3 (loud).
