At E K Tyres we recognise the fact that the brakes are one of the most important safety features on your vehicle. It is vital that brakes are checked regularly as they become much less effective with age, and poor brakes can dramatically impair vehicle handling and tyre wear.

Our staff are trained and fully equipped to test brakes and we can offer a FREE, no-obligation inspection of your vehicle!

BRAKES

All brake pads and discs are supplied by APEC, TRW or BLUE POINT for Japanese cars. All our brakes are fitted by experienced technicians.

We also offer a complete range of replacement discs or drum brakes for your vehicle. Whatever your vehicle we can inspect, repair, and renew your brakes. Please do not hesitate to call us on 01291 622281 if you have any questions.

Brake checks are an important part of your vehicle servicing requirements, so we recommend that you have your brakes inspected periodically and not just when you have your MOT test. If you tend to use your car mainly for short journeys for instance, it is likely that you will wear the brakes down quicker than if the car is used predominantly for longer trips. It is therefore important that you can spot the most common tell-tale signs of when your brake pads are in need of changing or repair:

Brake Maintenance

1) Grinding noise – this usually suggests that the brake pads have reached the minimum thickness, so you should contact E K TYRES to have your car brake pads changed.

2) Pull to the left or right when braking – this normally means that there could be sticking on the brake discs or issues with the hydraulic elements of the brakes.
